The end of the school year is the perfect time to use some adorable crafts! I have seen some really cute things over the years, but one of my favorites was community helper themed! The kids each chose their favorite community helper. They did a craft to represent that job and then wrote a little something about wanting to be that community helper when they got older. It was such a cool way to end the year and showcase each students abilities.
Community helper crafts
You can use my community helper crafts to celebrate careers and amazing jobs all year long. The kids have 10 crafts to choose from. There the doctor and the nurse, always helping the sick.
Next, we have our friendly veterinarians. Someone has to help the animals in our communities!
We have our chefs, always cooking up fantastic meals at our favorite restaurants in town. Use these cuties to make a bulletin board that says, “Cooking Up a Great Year!”
There are construction workers to build roads, renovate buildings and so much more. These guys are great for a “CAUTION – AMAZING FIRST GRADERS IN THIS ROOM” bulletin board at any point of the year.
We can’t forget about the farmer, they’re the reason we have food on our tables. I’m always sure to mention this fact to the kids. Farmers don’t get enough credit!
Many kids choose the firefighter craft. It seems like such an exciting career to choose and you have to admit, they look pretty cool!
We also have mail carrier crafts. This is a fun career to talk about these days since kids don’t get as much mail as they used to. I love talking about letters and postage and then completing this craft with the kiddos.
No explanation needed on this next craft. Almost every kid wants to be a police officer at some point in their lives. They make the perfect community helpers craft for any time of year.
Last but not least, we have our lovely teachers. These cute crafts are a sweet activity to complete as a thank you to teachers. Students can write a little note with the craft and present it to their favorite teachers on their last day of school.
