September 9th is Teddy Bear Day! To celebrate and have some fun in your classroom pick a day this week and have your students bring in a teddy bear (if students don’t have one just have them bring in their favorite stuffed animal!) Have students do their daily routine all while carrying around their bear to make the day special. You could build a fort in your room and call it the bear cave and let students read in it or take turns in there during a stations day. This Bear Cut and Paste will make an excellent hands on craft to reinforce your teddy bear day.
Look at these adorable bears! I just love how different each one turns out.
You could definitely use these with a bulletin board called, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt…”If you own this bear craft I have made a pattern for the tummy with the song written on them here. It also has a paper copy that can go home with students at the end of your teddy bear themed day.
