Enormous Winter Crafts Bundle: Includes 16 Crafts

I am so excited to share my current Winter Crafts Bundle! Over the years, I have added more and more crafts and these are some of my favorites. They are perfect for those cold months when you can’t go outside as much. Do a couple a week and pair them with fun writing or exciting read alouds. Take a look at all of the fun crafts that are included.

Winter Sports Crafts

You can get kids excited for all things snow with some fun ice skating and sledding crafts! Let the students color or choose their own ice skate, put it together and display it on a pretty winter bulletin board.

Winter is the perfect time to talk about the Winter Olympics too! You can give students facts about winter sports and let them complete their own ice skater crafts. They will love putting these together and writing about their favorite winter sport.

Even if they aren’t into sports, most kids love to go sledding! If it doesn’t snow where you live, you can show them images and read them stories to give them an idea of what sledding is like. These fun crafts can be paired with a winter-themed read-aloud or writing piece.

Bundle Up With Winter Crafts

Remind students to bundle up when it’s cold outside with some warm hats and mittens. These winter hat crafts let students personalize with their name. Each student will write a letter of their name on each square to spell out their name.

Paired with these adorable mittens, they make a cute bulletin board display that can stay up through the whole winter. These mittens are also perfect for Valentine’s Day because of the hearts! Use them as cards or just a fun activity for a chilly day.

Students can even make a full winter outfit with these winter kid crafts. The hats, coats, and mittens can be printed onto any color paper so students can mix and match.

Winter Animal Crafts

Some of my favorite winter crafts include the winter animals. They let us talk about all sorts of animals, research them, record information, and then finish the unit with a fun craft. Kids always love this silly walrus and his long tusks. When we do this craft, we talk about the tusks and blubber so kids understand how these animals stay warm in cold climates.

Students can color these crafts or you can print them onto colored cardstock. The kids also enjoy this killer whale or orca craft. These are such amazing creatures to learn about and students are always fascinated by facts about them.

Another great winter animal is the moose! We discuss what moose use their antlers for and where they live. We talk about the differences between male and female moose also.

The husky dog is a fun craft because it lets us talk about sled dogs and medicine years ago. Kids are always amazed to find out that in some cold places, sled dogs are still used to transport goods across the snow.

Every year, the penguin is our favorite. I think the kids like it because we can pair it with fun stories like Flip and Flop, Penguin and Pinecone, or the Tacky the Penguin! My absolute favorite when I was little was Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

Finally, we can’t forget the polar bear! One of the most amazing winter animals that live in the arctic in my opinion. Students are mesmerized by these mammals and absolutely adore completing this craft.

Additional Winter Crafts for Kids

There are so many fun things to study when learning in winter. Students can create these igloo crafts while learning about the Inuit or arctic landscapes. These amazing homes are actually very warm inside!

Every winter needs a snowman craft! Print the scarves onto different colors or patterns to create a colorful winter display in the hallway or classroom.

Learn about snow and how it is formed. Tell kids about ice crystals and that each snowflake is unique! This is a great lesson to remind students that they are wonderful just the way they are. Create this snowflake craft afterward to make a beautiful bulletin board display.

You can’t get through winter without a delicious cup of hot cocoa. Have a hot chocolate day and let the students create their own mugs of cocoa to take home and share with their families. These can be colored or printed onto any cardstock you can imagine.

You can use all of these winter crafts by purchasing the Winter Crafts Bundle!
