Summer is in full swing! We have been outside enjoying the nice weather and everything you can do in the summer heat. I love the late nights and the family time. From sandcastles to fireflies to juicy bites of watermelon, there are so many things that remind me of summer and the memories that are made. I created a big Summer Crafts Bundle to use during these amazing times. Keep reading and I will show you what’s included PLUS a freebie craft!
Summer Kids
To start off we have our summer kids in their swimsuits. These adorable crafts are easy to customize by coloring or printing them onto any color paper you want. Adjust their skin tone, the color of their shirt and hair, sunglasses, flip flops, and even the bow on the girl’s head.
Kids will also love creating their own inner tube craft. I love how cute these look sitting in the little tubes! They’re great if you are going on a trip where there will be a lazy river or just talking about water safety and flotation devices.
Summer Beach Crafts
Use these fun bucket crafts to practice name recognition and fine motor skills. The pieces are simple to put together and they make a super cute bulletin board display full of names. Just write each child’s name on the line to personalize them.
Building sandcastles on the beach is a must when you visit, even if it’s just a drip castle. These cute sandcastle crafts are a fun way to commemorate a trip to the beach or to learn about sand. These crafts come in templates to print on colored cardstock or plain paper for coloring. This makes a fun way to differentiate!
Don’t forget the beach ball! This colorful craft is simple to put together and fun to customize. Print the sections of the ball on any color you wish. Create a rainbow of colors or a fun pattern. If your kids color, they will enjoy making their own design, too!
Summer Bugs Crafts
Did you stay up late catching fireflies or lightning bugs when you were little? I remember catching them in my hand and watching them blink before letting them go. These fun firefly jar crafts are a silly way to learn about these incredible insects. The final products make a great summer bulletin board as well.
Trying to find a writing prompt to go with your cute craft? Try this butterfly craft and writing activity. The kids will create their own butterfly craft while learning about butterflies and the seasons. Then, they will write off of one of the 10 writing prompts included. This craft is perfect for spring or summer and includes the following writing prompts:
- I like the spring because …
- This spring, I want to …
- I can’t wait for spring because …
- SPRING
- I like the summer because …
- This summer, I want to …
- I can’t wait for summer because …
- SUMMER
- BUTTERFLIES
- Butterflies are …
Of course, customize the writing prompts any way you would like to meet your needs!
Summer Treats Crafts
With summer come lots of tasty treats! One of our favorites is always ice cream. Create this cute ice cream cone craft with your kids using any color you would like. We like to print ours on colors that represent our favorite flavors. Don’t forget the cherry on top!
Whether your kids are selling lemonade in the neighborhood or just love drinking it, this cute craft is a must. This is a great craft to complete when learning about How-To writing. Kids will create the craft and then teach someone else how to make lemonade. They can even write the steps down!
Kids love popsicles during the summer (or any time of year honestly). Let your little ones make this cute popsicle to work on fine motor skills, scissor skills, and gluing things into place. Print it in any color you would like or let the kids color it themselves. For extra fun, attach giant googly eyes instead of the eye templates!
We can’t forget the watermelon. I don’t know about you, but watermelon is a staple during the summer in our family. We eat it in chunks or giant slices at home, at the lake, at the pool, and at the beach. Make this fun watermelon craft with your watermelon-loving kiddos!
