Matryoshka Doll Craft Activity

A Matryoshka doll, also known as a Babushka doll, are a set of wooden dolls that decrease in size, that all you to place one inside the other. They are a Russian Christmas tradition that your students will love learning about during your Christmas Around the World unit. Student will love making their very own cut and paste Matryoshka doll and see it hung up in your classroom.

  • Templates that can be copied directly onto colored cardstock or construction paper and then cut out by students. 
  • Labeled templates that can be xeroxed onto cardstock, cut by the teacher, and then traced onto colored paper and cut by students. Labels will include the name of the pattern, the color to use, and how many of each pattern to cut (Ex: Body Cut 1 Red).
