Apple Pal Craft to Use in the Fall

Every fall as a new school year begins, teachers everywhere start preparing their favorite apple crafts to kick off a fun year. Don’t deny it, we all do it. There’s something so enjoyable about learning about apples as the weather starts to cool off and the leaves start to turn colors. We always take a trip to a local apple orchard to pick our own apples and drink apple cider. It never fails, we always end up doing a craft as well. If you’re looking for a cute and Apple Craft to add to your back to school collection, check this one out.

Apple Pal Craft Activity to complete in the fall or during back to school. Features crayons and scissors with the craft.

What’s Included in the Apple Craft

This Apple Pal Craft includes a photograph of the craft so you know exactly how it should look when complete. It also comes with step-by-step directions for completing the craft, making it super simple to follow.

The Apple Craft is a great back to school or fall activity to practice letters and letter sounds with young children.

The download includes 3 different easy to use templates:

  1. Labeled templates include the name of the pattern, the color to use, and how many of each pattern to cut. The templates can be traced onto colored paper and saved for future years.
  2. Templates that can be copied directly onto colored cardstock or construction paper and then cut out by students.
  3. Coloring templates that students can color and cut out before assembling. This is a great alternative to students learning online or for parents who need extra activities for their kiddos.

You can color the apple craft and cut it out to practice fine motor skills.

Some Fun Ways to Use the Apple Craft

Since you will most likely be using this craft in the fall when school starts back up, it makes a great craft to complete while studying the letter A! You can discuss tons of words that start with the letter A and then do this craft to reinforce the skill learned.

Here is the apple craft on a corkboard with scissors and crayons.

Like all crafts, this Apple Craft is a great way to practice fine motor skills with preschoolers and kindergarten students. Morning work time or free choice centers are a great time for students to work on this craft independently. You can also have kids do the craft one on one with an adult for help.

This is a fantastic craft to pair with any story about apples in the fall. We especially love listening to The Biggest Apple Ever by Steve Kroll. This story is all about some mice and a very large apple! We also enjoy Apple Trouble by Ragnhild Scamell. In this story, a hedgehog is trying to get ready for winter, when she gets hit on the head with an apple!

We have also completed this craft after learning about things we can make with apples. We write a little about what we can make with apples. Then, we tape or glue our writing piece to our apple pal craft. Any time we create a craft, we display it for at least a week! We like hanging this Apple Pal on our bulletin boards and doorways to invite fall and cooler weather.

I hope you enjoy using this Apple Pal Craft this fall!
