Life Cycle Spring Crafts

A spring frog craft is a perfect way to celebrate spring, new life, and animal life cycles. This cute frog is a fun activity to do after learning about the life cycle of a frog. Kids can write about the life cycle or make up a fun story about a day at the pond. The kids always love the frog’s silly little tongue.

The writing prompts that come with this craft include:

  • If I were a Frog…
  • One Day at the Pond…
  • My Frog Facts…
  • I like Frogs because…
  • In the spring, I like to…

Use a variety of writing prompts based on the needs of your little ones! The finished froggies will make a wonderful spring bulletin board. Add a bit of blue paper for a pond and you have a whole frog community!

Another fantastic craft for spring and life cycles is the butterfly craft. This craft is colorful and pairs well with lessons about the life cycle of a butterfly. Kids can write all about butterflies and facts they learn.

Prompts included are:

  • In the spring, I like to…
  • If I could fly, I’d go…
  • Butterflies are…
  • Butterfly Facts
  • If I were a Butterfly…

The kids always enjoy making a butterfly. I print out several colors of dots and wings so they can get creative with the look of their insect! You’re sure to get a fun variety of butterflies up on the wall.

Bees are the perfect way to learn about spring. They’re everywhere, and while they might be a little scary they provide so much good for our Earth. Teach kids about the importance of bees and then let them complete this spring craft.

The prompts included with the little yellow bee are:

  • In the spring, I can…
  • All About Bees…
  • My Bee Facts…
  • Bees are…
  • If I were a bee…

Kids will love writing on the beehive-shaped writing prompt and seeing their hard work up on the wall all spring! Let the kids share their work with others and watch how proud they are of themselves.

When was the last time you flew a kite? I can’t remember my last time! It was always so tricky to get it up in the air, but once we did it was so magical! Give your kids a piece of that magic with these colorful kites.

The kite prompts include the following templates:

  • I like spring because…
  • I like kites because…
  • Let’s go fly a kite and send it…
